We want a remote transport to all craft beer fans so they can live, for a while, the most popular feast in Germany and worldwide. Our Brew Masters surprised us with experimental beer with similar characteristics to the one used in Oktoberfest celebration in Munich.
The new Kunstmann Oktoberfest is a Festbier style specialty, name given to commemorate this feast around the world. It has a malty taste and light hop which makes it a great drinkable beer, ideal to share with friends feeling to be at this massive beer celebration epicenter.
Our very DNA is the experimentation, that’s why we wanted to give this variety a different character. We used Pale and Dark Munich malts, Magnum, Hallertauer and American Cascade hops, in addition to English yeast, resulting in a 5.9º beer and a bitterness level reaching 25 IBU.
According to tasting notes of our Braumeister, it is a slightly opalescent deep golden color and white foam specialty. Sweet aroma with caramel and cake notes, with subtle herbal touch from hops. For pairing we recommend spicy and slightly spicy Mexican-type foods, chicken and pork meats, in desserts with coconut flan and sweet bread with almonds.
Although in the old continent this mega celebration lasts 16 days, we want to celebrate throughout the month and more. This experimental specialty is available in schop format in all our Kunstmann Kneipe beer bars throughout the country and, of course, at La Cervecería in our beloved city of Valdivia.
We have traveled the 14,000 kilometers that separate us from Munich in Bavaria several times to share the spirit of Oktoberfest. Now we want you to enjoy it. We will wait for you!
